Barefoot books review and giveaway

Looking for a gift that is educational to put in that Easter basket for the kids? We are a family that loves books and we read every night before bed and now we are up to three books as baby loves his books as well and is now starting to get a voice. Barefoot books caught my eyes because it was started by two mothers. I have found all good things are started that way. I was sent two books to review.

Baby and I love reading the sounds around town a simple story about a baby and the sounds of life through out the day. The illustrations are colorful and big. You  know at 20 months its hard to keep that attention until the end of the book but the pictures in this case are the trick. The pages are thick so it is sturdy enough to withstand anything that comes its way plus it makes for easier page turning for little hands.

We also received  The real princess a mathemagical tale which is a mathematical twist on "The princess and the Pea" but with this book you also get a fun way of practicing math. I love the learning opportunity's that just come naturally and I don't have to force it. My daughter is all about princesses right now so anything with that title will capture her attention but can it keep it? This book has done that and I also love the CD option that comes with this book. Instead of television, I give my daughter headphones and she can follow the audio with the book that is read by the actress Juliet Stevenson. After the story there are also games to practice your math skills.
